Who is the BBR? by Borch

1. Bob Miller aka Bubba   (has nothing to do with the stint of time he spent in prison)
2. Tom Borchard aka Borch (easier for his buddies to remember and pronounce)
3. Jim Foy aka Foy Boy (never to be confused with Boy Toy)
4. John Murphy aka Murph Dog (what else needs to be said)
5. Dave Clements aka Harry the Horse (has nothing to do with size)
6. Chuck Spiess aka Carlos el Presidente (name change had something to do with the statute of limitations)
7. Mark Averill aka Ape Man (You have probably seen him on the Discovery Channel)

The BBR boys: by Bubba

1. Jim “Foy Boy” Foy; An ex-linebacker stud from our high school football team.  Before designated drivers were popular Foy Boy would, for the safety of the group and community, take the wheel of the blue bomb while the rest of us drank.
2. Dave “Clemente” Clements; Some refer to Clemente as “Harry The Horse” from the musical Guys and Dolls.  It is because he was in that musical in high school and not, as far as I know, for other reasons.   Dave is the group’s protector and “den-mother” if you will.  Also, he provided the initial inspiration for us high school boys to get back together.
3. Tom “Borch” Borchard; Borch, Tomás, “T”, Tommy, or whatever we want to call him it doesn’t matter - he attracts women by his mere existence. Over the years, he may be our best asset.  Borch is the heart and inspiration for much of what we do.
4. John “Murph-Dog” Murphy; Just Murph most of the time, he keeps us connected to the outside world.  With Clemente and Bubba was part of the first BBR gathering.  In addition to many things he provides the security that a mobile phone is always near (and on his person).
5. Mark “Ape” Averill: Ape is simply a blast to be around.  Always in a good mood and is the king of one-liners.  Hey, Ape can make balloon animals – you never know when that skill comes in handy.
6. Chuck “Carlos el Presidente” Spiess; We call him Carlos, he adds the el Presidente part.  Carlos is wet behind the ears and always will be as he was one year behind us in high school.  So much to learn…
7. Robert “Bubba” Miller:  Bubba makes the BBR events happen.  Normally he does not exist in a normal reality but in his own reality called “Bubba’s World”.  It is a happy place.
