BBR
Today BBR stands for Beer, Brotherhood and Renewal. We try to get together once a year over some beer and peanuts to catch up.
BBR originally (or really) stands for “Blue Bomb Revisited”. We attended Saginaw’s Arthur Hill High School in the early 70s before there was MADD and some of the crazy minor-in-possession laws. When we didn’t have a date (more often than we normally admit in person) we would default into riding around in Bubba’s Blue Bomb – a 1969 blue Plymouth Valiant. As designated drivers Clemente or Foy-Boy would drive around Saginaw County, the rest of us would drink and we would all go to McDonalds to meet up with other groups doing the same thing. The BBR today is that same group of boys from that early 70s high school “car group”.
